These boys are absolutely adorable! Ian and Flynn have such great smiles and vibrant personalities; they were a joy to photograph! When asked to describe them Lesily said: “Ian is sweet and thoughtful (although sometimes silly or shy). Flynn is predictably unpredictable haha. He is sensitive but he’s also lots of fun and he’s all boy!. They enjoy running around, riding bikes, playing with cars, legos, trucks in the sand and anything that involves dirt!” I had a great time hanging out with all of them and capturing some very fun and precious moments of these cuties!
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
Going through all my sessions and I realized that I did not blog about baby Ivy’s birth! I’m sooo very behind I did a “maternity session” with Mike and Shannon and was happy to be asked to photograph the birth of their first child, Ivy. She was born back in April, yes April…
Both Mike and Shannon have a strong relationship with the Lord and with each other. Shannon’s labor and delivery was absolutely beautiful! Mike was so very loving towards Shannon and cared for and served her the entire time. He was constantly by her side and everything he did was focused on her and how he could comfort and love her, Mike is in almost every photograph! Shannon relied on the strength of Christ and the strength of her husband to get her through, no medication, no screaming no losing her composure. Her focus was on the Lord and on the birth of their first child. Having had three children myself I know the pain is excruciating and is not something that you can completely prepare for but Shannon and Mike were amazing together.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (ESV)
Obviously I am very behind in updating my blog since Colton actually turned one back in June!!! My my how time flies! I took pictures of him when he was still in his mommy’s belly, when he was being born, his first breath, bath, yawn and smile! So taking pictures of this cutie’s first birthday was a definate must! What a sweet one year old he is!
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17
Such a precious family! They are a fun, mellow family with three beautiful children. I had the joy of being able to capture the birth of the newest addition to their family in August (Blog post coming soon – better late than never haha) and then got to photograph their entire family in the Los Rios District. Kari is a Photographer herself so I was very honored when she asked me to take their family pictures. It was a fun sunny day in San Juan Capistrano and we were able to get in some really fun poses. It truly is such a joy for me to photograph such great smiles! I’ve had lots of opportunities to take pictures of Ava at church during Vacation Bible School and other church functions, she has the greatest laugh! Totally contagious! Their devotion to the Lord and to their family is very obvious. Meet the Letterneaus!

A sweet family from our church is adopting their second child; Quinn from China. We are so excited for them and can’t wait to meet him! We were having lunch several weeks ago and discussed having a photo session at the beach for Christmas cards and incorporating a couple of props to show their anticipation, love and excitement for Quinn’s arrival. I am so blessed to have been able to capture such a wonderful and fun moment in their lives. Ray and Deb are such a fun and sweet couple. They are dedicated to Christ, each other and their growing family. Cole is the cutest guy! He is super smart, very fun and active and a great cook! He is always smilinig and never shy which is a great quality in front of the camera. They are definately an encouragement in our lives and we are thankful for them!

When I got a Facebook message from one of my old co-worker asking me about taking senior portraits of her son I was exstatic! Not only do I enjoy High School Senior sessions but seeing her again after three years was definately something to look forward too! When they arrived I was greeted with a big long hug and lots of smiles! This family had me laughing from start to finish! They are so close and loving with one another and have such a great sense of humor! Dorcus is always making people smile and her children (her daughter tagged along) are just like her! They truly do brighten up a room when they walk in. Brandon is a sweetheart and a very handsome guy, not to mention he has the best laugh! I had so much fun at this session I left with a sore side from all the laughter. Brandon is planning on going away for college (football scholarship) so these pictures will definately be treasured for years to come! Congratulations Brandon!

I LOVE Engagement Sessions!!! These two love birds were sooooo adorable! Just the way they look at one another brought a smile to my face. Words just can’t express how cute they are together! When asked in how their friends would describe them as a couple they said: ““You match” “You look alike” “We can see how much you love each other” “You go well together” “You fit”. I only spent an hour with them and totally agree with all of those statements! I am really excited for them to start this new chapter in their lives with one another! Congratulations George and Maya!
