Together is the best place to be…

My daughter and I had a wonderful time with these three cuties. It took a few minutes for them to warm up to us since this was their first professional photo session, but as soon as they did they were suggesting poses and having lots of fun! They love volleyball, animals and computers. They are very happy and active and loved having their picture taken. This family enjoys spending time together which is apparent in how they interact with each other. The girls are so very sweet and fun, these three cuties are precious! We are devoted to each other….

Andy, Kristin and their daughter Lily were vacationing in California with Kristin’s parents and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get a few memorable shots of their daughter at this age. We met at Laguna Beach, it was super windy and unfortunately there weren’t too many clouds in the sky (I love how the backdrop looks with clouds) but we made it work and I think we got some good shots. Little Lily got cold fast (actually everyone did) so we ended our session a little early. Lily is so precious, she is adorable and has such a sweet personality! I’m glad I was able to capture a few pictures of her at this age.

A Day at Disneyland…

My husband and I wanted to take our grandchildren, Jade age 5 and Steven age 2 to Disneyland for the day and since he got a week off from work we decided to take them and our daughter Jessicca on Tuesday. Jade had no idea where we were going, she thought she was getting ready to go to the park. It was so precious to see her face when she realized we were at Disneyland! They had such a good time and it was so much fun for us to experience Disneyland with them. My husband and I go to Disneyland a lot, it’s one of our favorite date spots! But going with Jade and Steven was a whole new experience! Jade was so excited to see all the princesses and Steven absolutely loved Car’s Land! Seeing the joy on their faces was priceless! It was such a fun day and we are so very thankful that the Lord provided a way for all of us to go. We were there for 10 hours, much longer than we are used too! It was great to see Jessicca having so much fun with her kiddies and watching her kiddies!

When we got back to the parking lot, we realized that my car had a flat tire! Not what you want to find after walking around for 10 hours! But, nothing could ruin the day, we were still thankful even for the flat tire!
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

We are madly in love with each other and thoroughly enjoying this pregnancy…

Mike and Shannon are such a cute and loving couple! Their love for each other, their unborn baby, Ivy and their great love for God was apparent from the first moment we spoke! Their story is as unique as it is beautiful! When I asked them what is it about this moment in their lives that they want to remember when they see their pictures they said: “How grateful and joyful we feel in this season of life. We want to look back and remember savoring the miracle of it all and how happy we are right now.” This moment in time is so precious to the both of them and I am so thankful that God brought us together so that I could be a part of capturing this beautiful moment in their lives.

Together….is our favorite place to be.

Theresa contacted me and wanted to schedule a session but only had one day available. She was flying in from Texas to meet her husband who was transferring out from Camp Pendleton and they were both driving back to Texas together to start a new chapter in their lives. Before they left California, they planned a short trip to Catalina Island to relax and reconnect. So we scheduled their session just a few hours after she arrived in California.

Phillip and Theresa both serve our country in the military and although they have been married for a year and a half, this will be the first time they are living together. I can’t imagine being away from my husband for that long and I am truly greatful for the sacrafices they both have made for our country. They are a very sweet and loving couple and although I’m sad that I probably won’t have the opportunity to photograph them again I am very happy that they are both TOGETHER!

Meet Leo, the most curious cat I’ve ever met! He is so adorable and as you can see we made friends very quickly!

This session was scheduled for one hour but I spent two and a half hours with this couple! Not because things went wrong but because they were so fun to photograph! As soon as I arrived at their home I felt so welcomed! They are so very sweet and hospitable, offering me coffee, fruit even socks for my cold feet! It felt like we had known eachother for years which is probably why time got away from me! Not only did I have a great time at their session but I had fun editing their images!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Six years ago today Rey proposed to me. We were walking along Coronado after having dinner at Peohe’s. http://www.peohes.com/
All night he kept complaining about his shoe lace coming undone and was constantly bending down to tie it. The last time he did it, he took a very long time so I turned to see what was taking him so long and he had the ring in his had. He barely spoke and I jumped into his arms and cried “YES”!!! That is a moment I will always remember! Although I’m not sure if all the “shoe lace” complaints were to trick me or because he wanted to ask me at several different spots and then got nervous!

Two months before we got married we were both saved by God’s grace. God met us where we were at in our lives and poured out His love and mercy on us. We were given new hearts “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 Not only did we have a new found love for our Savior Jesus Christ, but we had a new love for each other! I honestly did not know love until God revealed His great love for me. I praise God for my husband! Rey was chosen by God for me and he is perfect for me! We don’t always see eye to eye and we have different idea’s of what’s fun or important but I have witnessed first hand how God uses those differences to grow us. God is good all the time!

The Love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:5
